hit the wall
08.01.05 (9:04 am)   [edit]
Boy it was cool this morning. I set out on my morning trek and could see my breath the whole way. It must have been 40 degrees or less. Not that I mind, when it's cool like that I don't have to "dope up".

The past two month I've applied bug dope on my extremities including my head before walking. Otherwise it's chow time for the skeeters. Occasionally, when it's raining I skip the dope too. But if the temp is gonna start hitting the low forties consistantly, I can put the bug dope away.

I think I've hit the wall. Again.

I haven't seen or felt much improvement in the last two weeks. So this morning I was feeling pretty good, and the conditions were cool and dry, so I added some jogging. Not alot, maybe a quarter of my two mile plus trek. Just enough to start the old knees barking. But I bet the real barking will be tomorrow.

But to think that four months ago I was barely walking a mile, and now I'm adding some jogging to my two miles. I'd say that it's a good wall to hit.

I'm gonna continue my routine until the snow flies, then I think I'll join the gym to keep it going. No more hibernating all winter.

Only a few more weeks until football!

I hope they get the stadium done in time down there in Corvallis.

 Until next time, see ya.
