Just Another Quake
09.12.07 (8:08 am)   [edit]
Yesterday we had an earthquake that shook my house here in Anchorage. On the anneversary of the Sept 11 attacks, Anchorage shook briefly to a 4.4 quake at around 3:30 in the afternoon.
I heard the epicenter was approx. 60 miles NW of town, and 60 miles deep in the ground. I wonder if there is a faultline there?
Alaska is so big that we have several earthquakes everyday somewhere in our state. But, quakes that shake the major cities are far less frequent.
There was no sunami danger from this last quake.
